I have not posted to this blog for a while. Most of that has been due to a series of illnesses. First, early in 2010, a student coughed over me and I caught a severe bout of whooping cough from that. Just as I recovered from that, someone at a conference coughed over me again; this time it was pneumonia.
I am now starting to resurrect this blog but I am moving its location to Wordpress. It will be continued at: http://readteachingjournal.wordpress.com/. My main reason for the move is a philosophical preference for open source systems and some mounting cynicism about Google's "do no evil" mantra.
